Sunny/Cloudy Question...

Postby MAG » Thu Dec 21, 2006 9:19 am

What do you think?

"If it's cloudy hunt the fields, if it's sunny hunt the timber..."

Do you agree with this duck hunter's maxim?

Ducks seem to work better and or less spooky on a blue bird day versus a cloudy day......timber or fields. Give me a blue bird day with a 10 to 15 mph wind every day of the season. :D

You got that right. Spooky anywhere on cloudy days. You stick out like a sore thumb.

I would MUCH rather have bright sun no matter where I am hunting. Ducks can see too well in diffuse light/overcast conditions.
So many ducks, so little time....

MAN it's different down here. In the marsh I HATE bright days, I prefer a cloudy windy day a whole lot more. However a bigger influence to me is wind, to me wind is more important than anything else.

Bluebird with wind and it gets right. Otherwise like stated before you stick out like a sore thumb
