I'm new to the area, but I've been to Chotard several times this season. Anyone hunt there regularly? I haven't seen a tremendous amount of ducks, but any ducks at all are better than what I saw last season (didn't get to go at all).

My in-laws are from Vicksburg and that's what I've heard. I'm in school and don't have a lot of hunting time, so I guess I'll have to suffer with what I can get. Thanks

Woke up at 3:00 am. to hunt chotard this morning hoping the rain would hold off for at least 2 hours. Wasn't rainibg in Clinton when we left, but caught us half-way there and naturally never slacked up. Waited till 7:30 then left and scouted on way back. They win this one!
