Check out a boat called the Finest Kind, Capt. Tommy Browning, Or look up the old yellow boat called the Shooting Star, can't remember the Captain now but he has about 3 other boats. They are some of the 'old' captains that have been fishing Destin for decades. I believe they leave out of East pass marina. Also if you go to East Pass Marina stop in at the boat house and get some gumbo(some of the best i have ever eaten) and grab a cold one for me.

If you go to the East Pass marina in Destin DO NOT GET ON THE GLORY! we had a bad experience with them, we left dock 1.5hrs late and came back 30min early and to top it all off the capt and mate were a complete smart a#$. However we went out down there again this summer aboard the Just in Time and had a blast.

Just in time chip somebody. 850-837-2930 had a buddy fishing on the top gun, very good charter, and the captain asked if he had ever fished there before. my buddy said he fished with chip on just in time and the captain said, "why are you with me?" not the fanciest boat but this guy puts you on the fish time and time again.

RebelYelp,
Tried to get up with him last summer, and he had move up behind AJ's i think. We were there when he pulled back to dock to try to get a charter with him, it was august and a full moon water temp around 80 degrees. He was extremely honest with us and said that they were not catching many fish. He said he would take us out and probably get us a small string of fish but it would be nothing like we were used to. For a man that makes his money taking you fishing to tell you that he would not book a trip if it was him was a very nice thing to say the least. Plus the prices of charters down there have increased dramatically. Actually i think i still have his number 850-837-6629

that would be it..... he told us the same thing, but we had nothing better to do, so went, ended up with a few kingfish, spanish, and shark; we did get some stupid nice baseball caps out of it

This doesn't help any, but it is my story on PCB.
Back in high school we went there for Spring Break (had more beer than luggage!!) I actually got kicked out of Club Vela (however you spell it) for public puking in a garbage can. I walk the beach a long way back to the hotel. Next day go fishing with a charter. Still hung-over and stayed in cabin heaving the whole trip. During this trip the weather got so rough the captain was offering to give us our money back to head back towards land.
ah, memories.
