Facing the Giants

We showed facing the giants last night at church (don't worry I bought a licvense so I could show) as a fundraiser for our mission trip. We could not sell tickets (against the law) but we could accept donations. It never ceases to amaze me the genorosity that God has on us. We made 680 in one night. That was wonderful. I thought we might make about 300. that is an awesome movie with a great message if you have not seen it.

We showed it last week at our church and invited everyone to bring friends, neighbors, whatever. If you haven't seen it, this movie has an awesome message and it's shared in a way that wouldn't threaten or scare anyone, but it's real.

I agree...great storyline, excellent message, I cant imagine what it would belike if it was produced by a big time producer...acting was a little shaky...

all acting done by volunteers, and people in and around south west GA that either go to Sherwood Christian Academy or Sherwood Baptist Church. THey did this thing as church project that they hoped would simply be picked up and shown at the local movie theater. Never in their wildest dreams did they think it would take off like it has.

message by far amkes up for the ameteur acting.

I have heard good things about this movie. Would it be ok for young kids to watch?

I would recommend them watch it. This move will make you feel all kinds of emotions. When the dude kneels in the field and gives it all over I wanted to stand up start clapping. It moved me.

With all that money you'ld think they'ld lower their tuition. Instead, they raised it.

My wife and I watched it and it was an emotional rollercoaster. We both love the movie. The point of the movie was not to have big faces in it, it was to get a message out through ordinary people that share a love for Christ. I personally thought they did an excellent job in doing so.

Mark K,

are you the same Mark that yanked the lease out from under your buddies that carried you there to begin with in Tunica?

If it was my buddies lease then how could I "yank" a lease out from under them??? No, I got my own lease and didn't want 30 people for 3 pits or someone that runs their mouth about everything. I also wanted someone that would take care of the camp and the land we leased.

I don't believe I know you, but apparently you think you know me. Oh yeah, if these are your buddies then you better keep them happy because unless you can do something for them you have no friends.

There's always two sides to every story. It's just real easy to be an ITG.
