with the alarm at my chicken houses going off. Then i get dressed and drive up them to find house #3 fully engulfed in flames. Needless to say it was a total lose and the house weren't but 3.5 months old. I just hope my insurance it what they say it is.

Sorry to hear about that. If they don't meet your expectations call me. We write ALOT of Poultry Houses. 601-259-4053. What was they cause?

Not sure of the cause yet. I am speculating that it was either electrical or a brooder malfunction.

Sorry to hear about your farm. You are fortunate that you already had them covered. In 91 my uncle lost 4 houses to that tornado right before the first bunch of chickens...the insurance wasn't activated. That was a very tough thing to fight back from and he has without filing bankruptcy. Call your agent and count your blessings even though it sucks.
My kinfolks are from Sylvarena and my wife is from Louin.

I sure hated to hear that but hopefully the insurance will do you right. I think that was the same day that the fellow that was gonna plant corn on our lease plowed a fire lane around the fields and struck a match to it. Just as it started gettin out of hand he high tailed it the hell out of there. He claims somebody else lit it. Needless to say he burnt the house and a shed full of old farming tools smooth to the ground and nearly my tractor.
Burnt about 100 acres and had the fire dept there to well up in the night.
Beats all I ever seen!!!!

well my little fire dept. we have here in west had 6 fires this weekend all were grass but it bout got a church and house
2 of the fires where from trees fallin on power lines and the lines catchin the ground on fire
my dad and them were fightin a fire on the side of the road and we had traffic stopped cause it jumped the road and the dummy came flyin down the road locked them up swerved around the cars hit our big fire truck, missed a fire man after he jumped out of the way.....he stopped made sure everyone wus ok.....the cheif said he had to stay for insurance stuff and the chief said he had to call the sherif and well the guy got back into his car the chief noticed wut he wus doin tryied to stop him and the guy ran my chief over and high tailed it out of there......they are gettin him for hit and run, leavin a scene of accident, assault with deadly weapon and somethin else to do with emergency personnal

there are times for jokes but I don't think this is one of them, the guy just lost a major part of his life. Sorry to hear about your loss.
