My 5 month old pup has the same thing. His is all shedding hair. I was starting to get nervous, but its all brushing out really easy. I've had several black labs, but never had one with this much redish-brown shedding hair!

Same here. Use a shedding blade. I came up with enough hair to make a chocolate dog. :D

Not only did the Kumpi improve his coat, it added several FC's and MH's to his pedigree

I give mine a buzz. The vet will charge you $42.00 to trim. You can't tell I think its a 5/8 guard I use. I gots a yellow and you can't have one of them in the house this time of year if you don't. IMO

Shave It your self. You may gap it up the first time or 2 but in about a week and a half it looks like a pro did it. Plus you will get the hang of it. Around here is cost $80 For the cut. Hell With that! :)
