Yeah it does.....I shoot it, just for the off chance I may make a bad shot, I will not take a bad shot on purpose, that is not what I am saying. The only deer I ever lost I was not shooting poison.......knock on wood......I have never lost one while shooting it.

7 seconds and they are down. I have seen people shoot them in the hindquarters cause they knew it would bring them down...I do not agree with using it that way.

I am strongly against it. I think it is unethical, and unsafe. You arent a bowhunter if you havent lost a deer or two, it happens! You need to become more efficient with your equipment if you have to rely on poison to make your bad shot feel good. Anybody thats hunting with poison aint hunting with me!

Not unsafe there is not enough poison in a pod to kill a man...why is unethical?????? Explain

And I dont want to hunt with you anyway..... :P

I dont shoot it anymore. But I think it is the most ethical way to bow hunt. Hunt like you dont have it, still put the shot through the heart. Just lets you know you will recover all deer you shoot. No waste.

My dad shoots poison on his recurve. he has always told me that there is enough in kill a person, but I guess it would take all of the poison getting into the blood stream. I dont have a problem with it personally, especially using a 45 lb recurve shooting instinctively. I do have a question though. if you were to kill a state record buck with poison, do you think that it should be allowed to be entered in the record books? this may spark another argument, but I like a good argument.

Who told you there's not enough in there to kill a person...If there's enough to put a deer down in 7 seconds it might MIGHT take 10 to put a person down. You poor mis-informed soul.

shot it for a couple of years back when i was in high school. Stayed scared to death i would cut myself or get it in me some how. Figured folks kill a million deer a freakin year with out it, I can too. You lose deer with a rifle too. it is an ugly part of hunting, but a reality. Practice with your bow, practice with your rifle and do your utmost to minimize the chance of lost. I think that is what is expected of us as hunters.

I shoot it for insurance purposes only. I don't plan on making a bad shot either but things happen sometimes and if you happen to make a poor shot then you will atleast respect the game enough to be able to find him and not let him walk around in the woods hurting like hell and eventaully dying and no one finding it. Whoever said that shooting poison was unethical has lost their mind and it doesn't matter to me what you think. There would be alot less deer lost if everyone used it. oh, and you can buy it at Pelahatchie Bay trading post already in the pod for 7.00. For poison to kill a person they would have to get literally all the poison in the pod in a cut. I'm not a doctor but I did stay at a holiday inn last night.

Never used it, to skeared... No problems with it.. The quicker the deer goes down the better IMO..

In fact I am more in favor of hunting deer over bait than I am dog hunting.. 1. because will have a better chance of making a good quick clean shot over a food plot or other bait than if the deer is being pushed by dogs. and 2. I can be more selective and can better ID the deer if it is feeding than running. But that is a whole other argument.
