After having more trouble than I ever thought finding a place to hunt this year I finally closed the deal on an awesome lease! Got three square miles leased pretty near the mouth of the river. So much grass in the ponds it's unbelievable. I think gonna be good stuff. Only somewhat downside is tealin' is gonna be tough out there as the lease is kinda deep for around here so a bit deep to hold lotsa teal but a few then when the low tides hit in Nov-Jan look out!

Good for you. I'm looking for one now near Picayune, MS. There's tons of grass everywhere this year with all the rain. Just pray for cold weather!

GH, the redfish recipe turned out well, I still need to further play with the portions some, but it turned out good and I am going to give it another go tomorrow evening, so I'll let you know how it goes. Iceman, good to see you back on the net, been about year since you have been here hasn't it? How did you end up in the duck callin' last year? You are right about the grass it is definetly up from last year, however I have been to quite a few spots that it isn't doin' so hot, still stunted from the drought last year. However I think this year could be a banner year if we get the weather. Besides gotta shoot a crap load of ducks as goosebruce feels that Arkie is better and I gotta prove him wrong!
