ducks in Marks
just wondered how many of you guys hunt around Marks? If you wouldnt mind providing me with a little info about some land that is for sale around there, shoot me a PM. I would appreciate it.
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am
I never saw many ducks there, but that could change if we ever have a normal year.
Deltaduk (not Deltaduck) had a lease about a mile south of there one year. I don't think they killed a bird.
When pm's start working, pm me about the road hunting in that area.

Sounds interesting. Is that type of hunting available in other counties as well?

Not worth the money. I’d be surprised if you get many ducks on that place. And though the Coldwater will back up through Burrell Bayou and Squirrel Lake onto the place, I don’t think there is a way to hold water on it (though I’ve never actually been on the tract).
There are a couple tracts of land to the north (towards Ballentine Road) that are decent as well as a few that are a couple of miles to the south, otherwise you have to go Northwest / West / Southwest of Darling to get back to the ducks.
The place to the east of that property is in WRP and has a few water impoundments on it but I don’t know much about its duck history.
