IP cancelled our lease effective 8:00 this morning. It's hard to believe they would do that right after we planted tons of plots and made everything really nice. That is the breaks I suppose. We have been on a strict management plan and the bucks are getting to the size we wanted and now this.

This was mainly deer and turkeys

I know it's late but I am looking for a spot preferably in western MS. I know it's a long shot but if anyone knows of anything, please let me know. Thanks Gentlemen

No dice on a lease Jimbo but i gots some guest hunts with your name on em if you want them. Beer drinkin will be mandatory. Of course you will have to sign a waiver...

They are trying to sell it and the people looking at it don't want a lease on it. IP says it will look for attractive without a lease on it. We have 30 days to get out chit off the property.

Get this, they don't even have a buyer yet!

I like your thinking... .....Tell IP that you want money from planting all the plots and see what they say. threaten them a little. nobody likes to get sued.

Law dog is right. Re read your lease agreement. But i have heard of them compensating food plot expenses for a canceled lease prior to deer season. Worth a try anyway. Cant get back all the hard work but maybe a little moola.

If you don't get any compensation for the plots then I'd go back when getting all you stuff out and round-up em so nobody else could hunt em.
