I'm with you Bird Dawg. Any way you add that one up it comes out to an illegal #. Good to know that Dixie Boy is proud to post that though.... I was just wondering why they did not go ahead and kill the last 45 on Sunday?

Ain't nothing but a thang. Our club members limited out three days in a row. Rain like a cow on a flat rock all three days. Rain or no rain the habitat kept them coming. Had to wear hip boots to get through the muck, but was great for the dogs.

No... it rained, but when it stopped the heavens opened up...with dove. It was a great weekend. I did my shootin' over here in east TN, and I will be in Rienzi to hunt this weekend. Maybe the birds we had here will move south!?!?

We stopped the shoot early on Sunday at about 6:00pm to let the birds feed. The two #1 no-no's in dove hunting are shootin' the field in the morning, and shootin' the field too late in the evening.

Sorry to see you don't consider shooting over the legal limit one of your #1 no-no's.

Law states that on opening day only 15 birds can be killed, does not apply after that date because of the possession limit.

It's O.K. Dixie, dry your eyes and try to care next time.

GH22, I have no idea what you're talking about. The limit is 15 birds/day for every day of the season. Unless you're trying to say that your limit is actually less later, because you would be exceeding the 30 bird possession limit. For instance if you killed 15 day 1, 13 day 2, then your limit would be only 2 on day three. Your wording makes it sound like you can kill as many as you want after opening day up to the possession limit.

All I have to say is that Dixie Boy will not ever set foot in one of my blinds! I have been looking forward to meeting the Judge but not for a game and fish violation.

I never said that I killed those extra 4 birds, someone in the field did. I don't know who. My nephew was in the field, I didn't count him... he killed 4 birds I think. I've never met a judge I didn't like, or who never liked me!!! HEHEHEHEHE!
