tunica du 4u...seeing any ducks around tunica?????

Postby Sweet 16 » Mon Dec 09, 2002 10:34 pm

Hey tunica du 4u and anybody else in the tunica area! Seeing any ducks in the neighborhood in the past week? I had sick family over the Thanksgiving holiday and only got to hunt the Saturday after Thanksgiving and ended up getting what everyone else had and didn't get a chance to hunt this past Saturday. I'm going crazy having gone this long without a hunt!!!! I'm headed that way to take a co-worker and his teenage son on their first duck so I am hoping that y'all can give me a great report!

Any reports would be greatly appreciated. Happy hunting this week and weekend.

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad tiddings but....there are more ducks located in My near empty freezer than on the cutoff. Saturday morning loads of hunters but very very few ducks. At daylight there was a few flying but they never stopped and all headed to parts unknown. Saturday afternoon zero ducks heard maybe 5 shots that afternoon. Sunday not any better. Monday same thing few ducks early and then there gone.
The migration is not migrating or is My x wife behind all of this!

tunica,

Thanks for the report, even though it wasn't news I was looking forward to hearing. Maybe, just maybe, some ducks will come down in the next few days for Saturday's hunt.

Have y'all gotten a lot of rain in the past few days? Has it had any affect on the duck situation? (Don't want to be a pest but am just going crazy with anticipation.)

Oh, well, maybe we'll get a few shots on Saturday and can then enjoy a breakfast or lunch at the Blue and White in Tunica. (It drives me crazy that since last season they have stopped serving breakfast at 10:30 am...after my last hunt I just about had to beg to get some breakfast even though they were out of biscuits, grits and something else I really wanted.) I digress.....

Happy hunting!!!!

Yea, I know it sux's to get a bad report but on a positive its better to know the truth then here oh Man loads of ducks only to find few and far between... We got a little rain but nothing to speak of, there still more ducks on the south end near the runout than anyother place...ok pocket might be a good spot...

Good luck, remember its not the number of ducks in the boat that matters but the number of memories one trip can make that lasts a lifetime.
