I have a F-150 with power seats. The driver's seat motor has quit working and will not move the seat forward or backwards. But when i push the button to move it the motor makes a knocking sound. The button works fine moving the seat other ways. So is the motor dead or what can i do to fix it.

sounds like it might be off the track or something is wedged underneith (though I'm sure you already checked for that.)

Either there is something wedged underneath the seat in the track, or the plastic gear is stripped. Even a small piece of gravel will lock it up.

There is nothing swdged under it. And I think it is the motor because when I moved the seat it satred going real slow then died.

if you can get to the motor that is knocking strike it with something. I bet it will free it up for a little while. The contacts in the electrical motor are bad most likely. Permanent fix will be a new motor.

what year model F150. The motor is gone if you give me the year model I can tell you what the motor and labor should be so you don't get ripped off.
