Question???

Anyone hunt near Boligee, Alabama?? I'm thinkin about heading over there for the weekend to my friends place. It's 900 acres that is never hunted and already setup with big nice plots. There is no hunting pressure whatsoever there. I've never deer hunted it, just turkey hunted it. When is peak rut in west central Alabama?? Just curious. Any help would be much appreciated.

I would imagine peak rut would be right about now..

I hunt in Tuscaloosa county and the rut is either happening or will be in a couple of days!

Well, I've decided to change my plans. Been waiting on that switch to flip in my area in Hinds Cty. and it sure did yesterday. Now I can't leave this weekend when it seems to be on in my spot......we've decided to meet up at the end of January at his place instead.

What would be considered the best part of Alabama to hunt....I always hear about the black belt but don't really know what/where the black belt is.....my friends land is in Greene County....
