Well guys and girls it is that time of year again. Can you believe it is almost here. Oh how the anticipation is building i've got a buddie that lives in canada and he is not helping me any. He sent me a couple of pics a few days ago and my heart started pumping just at the sight of the pictures. he said the greenheads are putting their fall plumage on and there tearing the grain fields up. this can only mean one thing. ITS STARTING.I could not sleep a wink last night thinking about this morning. yesterday evening i loaded the 4 wheeler up and slung a sack of decoys on the back. My dog like to have had a stroke he knew what time it was.
It sure was great to get up in the blind this morning and watch yet another amazing sunrise 8 months of anticipation is over LIFE IS GOOD

All I can say is COME ON FROST...God forsaken mosquitos are going to carry us off.

all of the right things are in motion:
- football season has started
- got to burn some dove feathers
- the wife now thinks SportsCenter is better than the 10 oclock news.

now bring on the cold stuff so we can get down to business.

last year we had the first frost on Oct. 10th in my area... that is only 4 weeks away... looking forward to it.....
