Satellite Lesser Scaup - Dead??

One of the satellite lesser scaup was recently killed (we think) in the Mississippi Delta. The last known location alive was near Tchula on Jan. 3, 2008.

The current location of the bird is in a garage/shed in northwest Alabama.

Looks like a Alabama hunter might have harvested this bird.

Does anyone know anything about this bird? We'd like to contact the hunter and possible recover the satellite transmitter for future use.

Thanks!
Chad

Chad - How do you guys know it's in a shed in AL & not know who the shed belongs to? Just curious. I know I am probably overlooking the obvious, but I was just wondering if it was tracked to that location why can't GPS coords be used to pinpoint the exact location?
Keep us posted on this.

Raid them. I can see it now. Bubba is in bed with his misses one Sunday morn when over the loudspeaker he hears, "come out and bring the scaup hybrid with you. Come on we know you are in there. Don't make us storm the place. Tara and The Willows told us you........Ooops, wrong house."

Hes probably still trying to figure out what a duck was doing with a shock collar on it.

But if It was me I would put it under a UPS truck and watch chase it around for a week or so.
