Satellite Lesser Scaup - Dead??

One of the satellite lesser scaup was recently killed (we think) in the Mississippi Delta. The last known location alive was near Tchula on Jan. 3, 2008.
The current location of the bird is in a garage/shed in northwest Alabama.
Looks like a Alabama hunter might have harvested this bird.
Does anyone know anything about this bird? We'd like to contact the hunter and possible recover the satellite transmitter for future use.
Thanks!
Chad

Can't you follow the transmitter right up to his freezer. Prolly mounted and on the wall.

Winston County, Alabama
The bird is located north of Haleyville and east of Bear Creek, Alabama.
More specifically the garage is just northeast of Posey Field which appears to be an airport/airstrip.

That's not far from me at all. I hunt real close to there and my best friend lives there. He knows almost everyone in that community. I'll give him a call and see what he can find out.

Chad, I have a call in to my friend. How can he contact you if he gets the guy? I would let you know from here but I'm leaving to go on a hunt and won't be around a computer for a few days.

If someone from Haleyville shot it, good luck. That's hill territory, with guys that would scare the el camino crowd.
I see If I can help on the Fuge.
