Just took a look at the weather for some places in Northern Ark. and Tenn. and it looks like they wont get the chance to thaw out over the weekend.. Looks good for places making it over the freezing mark.

my thoughts...unless there is an ice storm/snow storm to push them down we won't see a large number of birds, we will probably pick up some, but not great numbers.... many will just move to large bodies of water that won't freeze (rivers) or keep areas busted open....

if this were a month ago my heart rate might have gotten up...but with only 2 weekends left, not so much....

I expect to bust some ice and have mallards trickle down through the oak trees to meet their death.

I also expedt to have a flask filled w/ some North Mississippi gun oil to sip on.

Ducks are here. You just have to find them. Had groups of 50 to 75 mallards lighting in the decoys this past two weekends. Picking out green in 30 minutes. Got to find the X.
