Well , regardless of what you think about out of staters, I met 3 pretty good guys this past weekend with THICK skin .... they know who they are and can post if they want, one of them is probably not home yet due to his SSLLOOWWWW nature of driving
These guys were NOT pushy or nosey, just good ole boys looking for a good hunt!!
gentleman, it was a pleasure meeting you!!
And yes, I still hate the BEAR

We are all OOS's at some point in our life. If you never venture out and hunt the different species of duck, turkey, large game, etc... then it is your loss. I can't imagine people only killing 1 type of turkey in their life and never shooting for the grand slam or only killing a few species of duck. The last I remember, their isn't a big market for bear, pheasent, or sea duck hunting in the good ole MS... I'm always willing to meet new people, I'm glad someone had a good experience with some OOS.

I met a friend from Ms and through him I met two other guy's also, it has turned into a lifelong friendship. They come up here to Ohio to bowhunt and I go down there to do a little duckin every year, wish we weren't so far apart, so we could get together a few more times during the year.

I myself am an OOSer from GA. I live in Athens and started hunting the Crowder area 7 years ago with friends. I now belong to a lease there and you guys just don't know how good you've got it.
We have deer out the yingyang and turkeys galore but,,, fifty wood ducks per county. It is a PLEASURE just for us to see the amounts of ducks as fellow duck hunters.
I will say that I and my friends that come only admire the way of life you guys have. For Ten months out of Twelve we think of it.
There is nothing but respect for you guys. We even like playing football against the MS teams.......

Greenhead, I assume you're referring to CP, MM, and CF. They are pretty good guys, and great friends of mine. I was supposed to be there this weekend but the wife up and bought me tickets to a concert for Christmas that turned out to be the same weekend. Funny how they can screw things up on accident too. Rest assured, I'll be there next year and from the stories I heard, I'm really looking forward to it.

yeah greenhead, your right! next year he'll ride with me! (sorry bout that freeballer!).
and torch, i really never have seen anybody do 55 - 60 down a muddy (not gravel!) road, while pointing out ducks in the fields, geese in the fields, (during a ice storm) and never bat an eye! maybe you can teach us all how to do that!
it was something to see! like i said, next year i want to see how you are with a boat!
btw greenhead, did you make home to jackson in an hour and 9 mins like last time when you had to leave in a hurry!..
