Anyone here had dealings with CALVIN BURWELL from Ebonezer??

He is a piece of work and if anyone has seen his add for deercamps in Holmes co. or his new add for guided turkey hunts and quail hunts in the Market Bulletin you need to call before you get CONNED out of money and waiste your time and yes I can provide lots of references from this year. You live and learn but to get outright F*&^%$ is a different thing. He even sold half the land during the middle of deer season. The list could go on and on. Just wondering if anyone else had dealings with him. I should have been suspicious when there was only ONE member from the previous year. Several people went only once after seeing just how badly they got lied to. The bad thing is several of them were older gentlemen and I felt soo sorry for them.

DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS GUY ABOUT ANYTHING. YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY. WE ARE TRYING TO PREVENT YOU THE HEADACHE WE HAD ALL SEASON. Luckily, I had other places to hunt.
He didn't plant food plots until December - they looked like garbage.
There were over 20 members on about 1000 acres, He said there was going to be 10.
500 acres of it was for sale during the season.
He was selling guided deer hunts on it during the week, 1- 2-3 day hunts.
We even got ran off about 80 acres from a guy that said Calvin Burwell don't have any of this land.
He wouldn't show us the property lines.
No Sign in board or sheets on some of the property. So you didn't know who was hunting where.
I should have known better because I have been around hunting my whole life but I was gonna try it one year and see. I saw after two weekends, I wasn't going back there and took all my stuff out of the woods. This guy will say anything. Don't deal with him.

That guy seems to be a con-man, reminds me of a guy that had a club in Crystal Springs(Buddy Brown) that I got in a few years ago. He lied about everything......the place sucked, and I never once saw his face after opening day. Go figure.

Where is the land he sold memberships to? I might know this guy. He's been sued for this same stuff before.

BIG B is living over round Monroe. Working for his brother trying todo right this time and straighten out his life. Days of him doing land deals is way over. But you can bet he educated other crooks out there of how to do the same thing he was doing so know who you are dealing with from the start.

Its Ebenezer and just sw of Lexington and Calvin does have a shady past and history. Also been told that he is a fire bug, Would not trust him as far as I could throw him. I would not be surprised if half of the 1000 he said he had he never had permission to hunt anyway!
