I was headed home from work and turned onto industrial right when the tornado came down. I turned and hauled @ss back to the HWY 30 overpass and got underneath it. Started flashing folks with my flashligt to keep them from going that way but dang if some folks aren't determined to drive right up in the middle of it. I live about a half mile north of the Cat plant on Old Hwy 7. Didn't get any damage, was just out of power all night. Really hit hard though leveled at least one trailer. Went right through my buddy's grandfather's pasture and uprooted several huge oak trees, bent a metal power pole and tore down a huge cell phone tower. Thanks be to God that no one got killed. The lady that lived in the trailer was in town at the time. Had she been home she would've landed in the next county somewhere.

Here in Horn Lake its ok. A few downed trees and limbs. Memphis got wacked...Jackson TN got wacked. Think they are saying 20 something deaths in TN, 11 in Arky, and 7 or 8 deaths in Kentucky. 3 people killed at a warehouse around TN MS line. Looters ran off with some jewlery at the Hickory Ridge Mall....the Sears there was tore up bad. Prayers sent

yeah, sorry bout that but as you can guess I had a pretty worried fiance to deal with considering I stayed up there instead of going back to shannon. It hit Jay's grandad pretty hard. We were out in the pasture trying to find his cows last night.

You were alive what else is there to worry about? Just glad you missed it. Sounds like it wasn't by much though.

Tombstone, shooting looters is illegal because of the laws against shooting over baited fields. It is strange how storms like these will bring out the best in people when we see those risking their lives to save others but unfortunately it also brings out the scum.
