does anyone recommend a good secluded get away? Short notice. I have looked at some state parks but scared to get a cabin there site unseen. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If your wantin to do a state park JP coleman at pickwick is pretty nice. They have a number of older cabins as well as a fairly new lodge with townhomes and hotel rooms. The lodge has an excellent view of the lake.

Enid has some very nice cabins. I believe it's john cossair state park. Spelling is off but it will give you something to search. Abundant wildlife veiwing, on the lake, what else could you ask for.

May be too far south but you might check out the Pat Harrison lakes with cabins. Big Creek west of Laurel has 2 cabins, Little Black below Purvis's gotta bunch, and Flynt Creek at Wiggins's got many, some that weren't Katrina'd... Bass are way prespawn but lotta huge basses are catched in march....
