Jack Frost,
I'm south of Greenville, but they tell me there is some good hunting at a place called Askew (spelling?) somewhere around Batesville, by the sound of it. And it's public. Places around Greenville that I'd recommend are Leroy Percy State Park, the MS river (access at the lakefront, with a couple of hotels just over the levee, under the bridge on the Arkansas side, Eudora Chute about 10 miles south of Lake Village, AR, Rowdy Bend Landing on Lunar Chute about 4 miles north of lake Village, Log Loader at Rosedale.... that's about all of the landings I know of. Delta national Forest at Rolling Fork, MS, any of the Lakes. You can't get out to the river from Lake Lee, unless maybe if you have a mud motor, MAYBE. If the water is down low enough (I haven't checked, probably check tomorrow evening), there might be some birds using the lake bank on Lake Lee. Some of the guys may know (hint, hint). The water was down all summer, and during bow season there was a lot of grass on the south and west banks that I figured would draw birds if there was water... The Sportsman in Greenville might have a suggestion (662-335-5018). Slater's in Indianola might know of something, as well, but I don't know their number. Bring your ice breaking boots.
Good luck everyone, and let's wear 'em out!
