About dove season?

For some reason, I haven't thought much of it this year. Really not like me, this will be the first time in years, like 10, that i will be with the family. Not sure if I'm going or not? Mom thinks I'm sick LOL. Just not got in the mood yet. Do get to spend the weekend with the family, something I'm gid of pumped about!! May try to slip back monday and pop a few caps, ain't real sure though.

Ya'll Fired up? Hope ya'll are!! Man this weekend is something i use to look forward to for years, really wondering about myself LOL.

Yea, I am fired up because I do not have anywhere to go dove hunting.

I think id be more anxious if it were opening sat. instead of monday...do have alot of doves though!! good luck to everyone thats hunting!!

I think that's got a lot to do with it, along with that frickin' storm down there.

Dove hunt Monday, prepare for Hurricane Gustav Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday...

Heck yes I'm fired up!!! I love dove hunting just as much as the opening weekend of college football. Just something about it. I remember bird dogging for my dad as a kid, getting to tote my own 20 ga at 11, trying to be mature and hunt away from him, and now getting to bird dog for him again since he's not in the best of health. Full circle is pretty cool from where I sit, can't wait until my 3 year old Jack is old enough to start going with the both of us, God willing...

Im always fired up for dove season!! I love an opening day dove hunt about as much as any other opening day!!!

I ain't going this year until at least the 5th (I think)...so no, I could care less. Those tightly wound arse-holes that wrote those laws several thousand years ago should have taken into account that it will generally be opening Labor-day weekend and written in a 2 day grace period for the rare instance that Labor day actually falls on Sept 1. I mean come on, how much difference is 2 days going to make every 7 to 8 years in the big picture. NONE!!!!

haven't even thought about a dove......my focus has been on larger birds.........about 10 lbs larger...........

I'm just going to shoot the two off of the powerlines here in my neighborhood and call it a day.

Im ready...made pretty good size field in the back of our neighborhood and got plenty of birds. should be good.
