Batesville MS

How is the duck hunting around there? 3 guys I work with and myself are going down there in Jan 09 to hunt. One of the guys family lives there. They have a farm near Bobo, 1200 acres of rice with some timber. Just looking for some info on how the hunting is. Thanks.

I've hunted some areas around that, and it has been good. I havn't hunted over rice, so you're bound to do better than me. Good luck.

Well the democrat population is on the rise and the rice well it did not make this year so we are looking to DU for help in bringing the ducks back. DW said they could get s some corn but we wanted to go with the fake corn so we could reuse it. We will see.

It just struck me as odd that the topic was Batesville but the question is about hunting around Bobo, which is just south of Clarksdale. I have heard that ducks are occasionally found in the area.

Thanks for the info. Any ducks at all will be better than the duck hunting in East TN.

Ham, the Bobo he is talking about is Bobo bayou. It is only about 10-15 miles from Batesville. Not far from the place I just sold and I had a Batesville 911 address. Bobo you speak of has MUCHO DUCKO in the right spot, but you gonna PAY to kill em or kknow somebody that got in on the front end of the deal. I know one such person. Talk about a return on investment. I think the last two memberships sold for 300,000-350,000. Anyway, two different places.
