Jug fishing tip solicitation.

I grew up near the big river and used to jug fish there. I now live east of there. The tallahatchie and yalabousha and yazoo don't really look like they would fish the same since they are so much narrower and don't really have sandbars or dykes. Does anyone here jugfish on any of those rivers or others of similar size? If so, tips as to general strategy, etc. would be appreciated.

10.4 on the grabblin. We just got almost 40 barrels plus we have almost 20 old hot water heaters. Gonna go sink em here in a few weeks. We do all our on one of the corp lakes. Usually get white cats and blues. I would really like to get my hands on a good ol flathead to eat though...we have never caught one in barrels to they tend to get in those "boxes" better? If so, I'd like some pointers on how to construct one of them so I can get some flatheads.

Wont be no feeders involved in Texas, you don't need them. They got turkeys out there that aint never seen no white man. They's kinda of stupid.... If you catch them just right, it's like shooting fish in a barrel or should I say, it's like shooting greenheads in your hole... :D

Ask your buddy how many turkeys he's missed with that gun....

Morning Wood...That jug fishin' has only a couple good "techniques" that I know of....1) which is MOST important...Got Beer?? If not, Rule #2) Go get Beer...#3)Keep Beer cold..Ice cold...#4)Drink beer...and maybe throw out a jug or two if you have time between beers!!
