5. depends where im hunting MO or IL - last two days of the 2nd week of Nov. MS - Sometime in late december (havent hunted enough to know exact dates)

7. back when I lived in MO i would say i spent at least a couple grand a year (and that was back when IL bow tags were $296...I believe now they hover around the $500 mark)

I would create a law giving me unrestricted access to any land I wanted .....But more seriously...MS is in desperate need of a tagging system...MO has had a tagging system for as long as I can remember...you used to have to drive to the local check station after you killed a deer...but now they have a tele-check system which makes it much easier. Also In certain counties in MO you can get an unlimited amount of doe tags but you have to buy each one for 5 bucks....It is a really good way for the game and fish dept. to make some extra money and honestly what is five extra bucks for a landowner who wants to make his property better by killing some does? Rifle season in MO is 10 days so we always dedicated the 2nd weekend to doe eradication (see pic below)...cant count the number of times i got sent to the store with 200 bucks to buy 40 tags to distribute around camp....think the most we ever killed in one afternoon was 32 12. No (biggest with rifle - 154 3/8 - 2002)

+1 plus i would like to see the rifle season shortened and possibly a shotgun system put in place, but at the same time not get to strict or make it to expensive where people quit hunting

Why in the world would you want to shorten rifle season?? I love to shoot my rifle, love to shoot deer. Make rifle season longer. Get rid of the goofy "primitive weapons season". If you want to go out and kill a deer with a bow, sling, spear whatever then knock youselves out. Just because you love your particular way of hunting doesn't mean that you need to shorten everyone elses. Hell if it was up to me I'd get rid of bowseason an let gun season start Mid October and run to First of Feb.
