Just wondering what shot size you guys shoot. I need to buy some shells and thought and switching it up and shooting #3 in stead of BB and #2....I hunt mostly in the timber, but I hunt feilds also. Just looking for something a little different.

I like 1's and 2's 1 1/2 oz

#4 2 3/4 lead

3s or 4s for Timber..

If I go open water I go with BB or 2s

Everybody likes different shot. It all depends on your GUN! Get a bunch of different size shells and shot and go pattern your gun! THAT way you can make your OWN decision on what type shot you will like. You like what kills ducks!!!

i have found you have to pay attention to the oz. of shot also. i only like 1 3/8 and never ever less then 1 1/4. Places like wal mart normally have lots of 1 1/8 which is just a cheap load. So keep that in mind but i agree u have to use what ur gun shoots. Not what me and anyone else says they like.

This is what I did...and with my extended choke(I forget the constriction) I realized my gun shoots 3s and 4s wonderfully and has a great pattern, and I will shoot the 4's most anytime.....last year I was killing geese with 4s

Heavy shot 4 or 6 or Steel #1. Depends on gun and choke i'm using!

I use to always shoot 3 1/2" #1 or #2. Thought I "needed" um and figured they would "reach out there" if you had to shoot long. My trip to Canada changed all that. We shot nothing but 3" #4's. Killed them just as dead as 3 1/2". I bought a case of black cloud 3" #4's on close out last year. Doubt I will go back to anything bigger.

i use whatever is left over from turkey season mostly 3 1/2 in number 5 or 6 shot. It seems to work good.
