Do any of you pro-staffers have any tricks to keep your reeds from sticking?

I have a cheap double reed that I blow and it got stuck about 30 minutes after shooting time and would get stuck every time I tried to blow it after that.

Apply chapstick to the reeds before hunting.

I bought a beat up cocobola RNT short barrel off of ebay a couple years before I went over seas and I never got it right. I guess I could dig it up and give it another go round.

I could "rent" you one for the season? I have an extra sb and old style about $25 shipped and promise on your left one to send it back after the season?
