For the people that has it and others, Can you see a difference between it and other insulating base layers (ie, fleece, regular long johns)?
I'm looking for a warm base layer without having alot of thickness, and if there are any other options let me no.
Also do you think there is a difference between them and other brands that are alittle cheaper like redhead?

I havent tried the cheaper stuff but my under armour long johns i love....

UA cold gear is accurately named. Only wear it when it's shore enough gonna be cold, otherwise you get a little on the toasty side.

This is one of the things on my christmas list. I've worn the top before but never the bottoms. This stuff works! These were great back in highschool for those cold games. As for the other brands.....ive only tried the nike stuff and it didnt work that good. I dont think you can go wrong with Under Armour.

One of these days I'll break down and try some. For now I wear ol trusty long johns top and bottom under my shirt and pants.

One thing for sure is I always wear liner socks under my wool socks. 100% better and they certainly make a difference with and without them on.

UA is the real deal. So get ready before you try it, cuz you wont buy anything else.

Buy the loose suff I have the compression fit and have problems w/ sleeves riding up, other wise love it

I think they make some good stuff but polyester is not new. They have a brilliant, hip marketing department, that's for sure. Their "Moisture Transport System" is called duh, polyester doesn't absorb water so it's going somewhere else. The "ARMOURBLOCK" technology is questionable "neutralizes microbes before there is odor" ? C'mon, they haven't smelled my armpit.

I bought a few closeout/sale U.A. t-shirts last year to replace some of my worn out & lost ones, the quality was really good but not worth full price IMO.

I used to buy generic polyester t-shirts and long johns in weird colors at the end of the season at Macks for $4.99 or Cabela's bargain cave. Their "moisture transport system" was just as good.

I cant tell a difference between mine and my duo fold. They both work. U/A is the "cool" thing to have though

Last year, I was seated next to a guy on a plane returning from Minneapolis. This guy was a manager for a company called "Milliken" (sp?) out of South Carolina. His company provides the textiles for many companies and he told me not to buy the Under Armor, but rather the Endura Skin by Bass Pro. Said it was the exact same material, just tagged differently. Better price on the Bass Pro for sure.

I bought some of the lightweight Endura Skin and love it.

I also have one. I wear that and my hunting pants and shirt all year long. I've only got cold once with it because it was about 10 to 15 degrees. Other than that I live by it, best investment I ever made.

I agree! Good purchase.

I love mine and actually think it works better than the old duofold stuff. I usually throw them on and then some microfleece over and whatever my outerlayer is.

Ditto on the liner socks. I used to have some and lost them. Never bought anymore, but my feet were sweating very bad and getting cold in the deerstand. Bought some this week and feet were toasty this morning and I had to drive in, then wade, then put boots on and walk aways and sat in the tree from daylight till 1230. I usually would have sweated and feet would have been cold.
