Hey guys needing some opinions here. Looking into purchasing a automatic shotgun. Dont really care to spend 1500 dollars, unless that is what it will take to fulfill may expectations. Im looking for shotgun that will have no trouble cycling light load shells for dove and clay pigeons. Also if I decided to purchase one in the 3 1/2 inch chamber vs the 3 inch, does that have any effect on how well it will cycle light load shells. I guess what I was asking, does it matter what chamber on how well it will cycle light load shells? Are is that clearly left up to the brand gun you buy? Im mainly looking to dove hunt and skeet shoot, and occasionally duck and turkey hunt. If it doesnt matter on the chamber then I thought about purchasing one in a 3 1/2 inch chamber, that way I will have the option if ever needing 3 1/2 inch shot shells.
Guns I have considered: winchester super x3- I really like the feel of this one. 3in or 3 1/2 (depends on cycling)
beretta urika- Felt kind of bulky, but read good reviews. 3in.
remington 1187-Someone suggested this one to me. 3 in.
Im kind of leaning toward the winchester x3, but im very interested to hear what you guys have to say.
THANKS

Refer back to the hundreds of other threads on this same subject. Benelli won the poll but it jams, but everyone post that they like beretta but it also jams or they both just dont fell right. The brownings never get cleaned, but once a year...... but they also jam. Cwink says his browning O/U goes boom boom everytime and some will tell you "just cant beat a good pump like the 870". The Winchester is owned by browning so refer to above statement. Thats everything you will read in a nutshell. Welcome

Go with the one that fits you the best.they will all jam if you do not clean them because they are autos.

He is right about the the winchester and browning being the same. Took my browning out this am for a hunt, cycles 3.5 and 3 just fine. It will cycle dove loads or skeet loads. Don't know if there is a gun that will do both consistently. My SBE II did fine this year cycling all types of shells but this is my first hunting season with it.

I will not buy another 3.5" gun, The 3" guns just have a lot less trouble cycling the light loads.

That is the exact same thing that Swan says and he works on all of them. He says that there is not a better semi-auto shotgun made than the Beretta 391.
