Had a great hunt this Saturday.. My BIL and I got an invite from Pelahatchie Dawg to come out on a Duck/Deer combo hunt. We got down there Friday night, met up with Cotten, his little Bro and a friend of his and all headed out to get a great Steak. Then had a great duck hunt Saturday morning. My BIL wouldn't pull the trigger and I think PD head was hurting him a little bit and interfered with his shooting abilities

But I was able to connect on a few ducks...
Saturday afternoon we swapped up strategies and went after the deer. My BIL finally got to see some deer, nothing big enough to shoot, but he said it was good just to see some..

I was able to connect on a doe.. My second deer in 2 weeks.
PD and Cotten, Yall have a great place out there. Thanks for the hunt, I haven't had that much fun since our last hunts out in Clarke County MS when my Dad was still around. And Cotten it was good meeting you..
Did yall do any good Sunday morning?

Unfortuanetly head pain had nothing to do with shooting problems, they happened again Sunday but not as bad. We enjoyed it and also had some more fun on Sunday with a visit from our friends the Federal Game Wardens, those guys are sneaky but all went well and we ended up having some laughs with them especially after they showed up at the same resturant we did and hour or so later, felt like we were being followed.
Advice, don't mess with Federal Game Wardens, they are serious about their job.

Good to meet you also cwink! We too enjoyed that great steak and are glad you and Mike enjoyed your hunts.
Sorry I was unable to join y'all on the duck hunt Saturday morning. Pelahatchie Dawg's guest usually have a better time hunting with me than him. Yesterday morning his guest Dan hunted with me and PDawg hunted with another guy who also brought a dog. Last time Dan hunted w/PDawg they killed 1 duck. Yesterday morning Dan killed 5, one short of our two limits and he surely would have gotten that last duck had PDawg not been calling us on the cell phone wanting us to come go eat with him. He seemed a little bummed about not killing many ducks (again).

That "constant calling" you referred to might have something to do with it; but I couldn't say for sure.
Hope us beating up on those Texas boys didn't bother y'all too much; you gotta have thick skin to hang around that cabin!

Look forward to having y'all up again!

Wish Cotten was a monkey.
You young uns will never figure that one out.
"It’s a line from the old 'Little Rascals' TV show, from the episode where Buckwheat gets a magic lamp. He rubs it and makes two wishes. He says, 'I wish I had a watermelon…I wish I had a watermelon…' and then, 'I wish Cotton (another Little Rascal character) was a monkey…I wish Cotton was a monkey.' Then, a monkey that escaped from the zoo comes on the scene and everyone thinks it is Cotton.”

I saw many an episode of "Little Rascals" Bankermane. I'm just trying to figure out why "you" wish "I" was a monkey.
