Did you change to a different brand of shells recently? Did those shells I gave you do any better?? Maybe your gun doesn't like the shells your shooting.. I know that when I had my Franchi I started using Winchester HV and seems like I couldn't miss with those things. Just point and shoot.. But on my Stoeger or Browning I can't hit a flippin thing, yet. I haven't found the load that patters well enough yet..
I think each gun will shoot each shell a little differently, maybe you just need to go out and patter your gun with a few different loads and find out which one your gun likes the most.

It seems like any gun I pick up will pattern real good using a Kicks High Flyer Modified choke and winchester DriLock # 1 steel.

Improved cylinder and the cheapest shells I can find, I just don't understand what the problem could be?

Choke will depend on where I am hunting. For flooded fields, Modified. For timber, nothing but Improved.
For load, nothing but Kent Fasteel.

Good catch there Cwink on the barrel, I did bend it back in 1990 hunting in Panther Swamp, it straigtened out fine and has killed many a duck and dove since then, just have to compensate a little bit. Damn fine cheap gun, sure beats the hell out of a Beretta or Benelli.

1990

That was a great year.. I graduated High school that year..

Maybe you ought to retire that thing... Maybe your Compensation aint what it used to be..

I always liked the stock Improved Cylinder choke in my 870 shooting Remington Nitro 3". The Modified will do well too. If that won't work it must be the shooter.
