Was gonna take off off work and go fishing today, remembered I have jury duty! Never had it before so it will be a new experience. Think I had rather go fishing though.

I've been one time and it sucks. You just sit around listening to a bunch of boring crap and wish you were at work.

Sitting here in court room waiting. Think it would help if I put tin foil on my head and stuck q tips in my ears and yelled for the goverment to stop trying to steal my thoughts with their fancy brain scan devices?

People always complain about crazy jury verdicts and how our judicial system needs fixing. The system needs normal people with common sense to sit on juries. Sure it's a pain. Take a book or a paper. Other than voting, serving on a jury is most people's only real chance to do their civic duty.

Standup and yell-"Hang em all, their guilty". They might escort you to the door.

Just kidding.
I know it can be inconvenient and a pain in the tail but it has to be done. You would rather be on the jury to offer insight, reason, and good judgement because you may be the only one(or one of the few) that has that ability, considering modern day jury pools.

If you tell them that you are a huge advocate of the death penalty they usually tell you, "you can home now thanks".

I got sent home. Was a boring eminent domain case. They picked the first 12 off the bench to serve and sent the rest of us home.
