Progress is not always a good thing. I was fortunate enough to get a lifetime license as a graduation gift in high school. It was great because you could stick your 2 stamps on the back and easily carry it in your wallet without having to worry about buying a license every year. With all the new changes that are supposed progress, there's no way to fit all the licenses you need in a wallet: License; federal stamp; 14" long duck stamp receipt; 8.5" x 11" letter certifying HIP compliance. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I feel like a file clerk trying to organize all this junk.
Long and short, MDWFP has discouraged the purchase of lifetime licenses. It is just as easy to buy a license every year now that you have to get all of these different forms. 1st they bailed on the "lifetime" subscription to MS Outdoors magazine, then they never send you the necessary order forms for all of these new licenses, certifications, and compliance forms and then make you seek out all that stuff and carry around 5 different items in order to be legal. Don't even get me started on TEL-CHECK.
Somebody from the field needs to let the eggheads in the office know how impractical the current system is.
Needed: Camo briefcase for all these licenses
