My son had his bike stolen at Ole Miss from his house, (his fault cause it wasn't locked), blue Specilaized w/ black seat, one black wall tire and one with white letters, (Specialized). I hate a damn thief. Probably will never see the bike. Girlfriend had her purse stolen from a bar. The PD has the perps on tape at Wal Mart after spending $700.00 on her credit cards, (bank made it good). Police told them there have been many break-ins in Oxford. Protect your stuff guys, parents tell your kids to do so. Did I say "I hate a thief"? Anyway...guys the thieves are gettin worse as the economy gets worse.

It's not just the economy, Its also the government giving folks a sense of entitlement, and our justice system giving crooks a free pass because criminals have rights too. I hate that for you son and the girlfriend. At least the bank took care of the credit cards issue.
With all the thievery goin' on, maybe the site admin should add a forum for it. It could be called the "What the Democrats took from me today" forum.

I'd love to start seeing that happen.

Some friends had their apartment broken into Thursday night. They're poor seminary students, so they didn't lose much of monetary value, but the sorry thief took their dog. Their little lap dog! What the heck is the world coming to?

A lady I know got her purse stolen at gun point in the chuck e cheese parking lot JPD took her info. When she called to cancel her cards they had made two large purchases online and had them shipped to their house and JPD want even investigate it. They just quit returning her calls. They don't have anything to fear. Most of the time the stuff doesn't get investigated and if they get caught they get a couple days in jail at the most.

bpinson,
may I ask what bank? I have a credit union account...and if they had to do anything like that they'd charge me an arm and leg first

There is a lady that works with my wife, thats apartment was broken into earlier this week. They stole her dishes-not anything special they were from target, the sheets off her bed, the dirty close hamper w/clothes in it, one of the 3 TV. Left her china, silver silverware but took the fake stuff, they even took pictures off the wall. More vandalism than theft but still a chitty deal. This is the 3rd time in two years her apartment has been broken into. Stupid thieves the MPD even has fingerprints proving it was the same 3 poeple every time. But won't do anything to try and arrest them.

Anybody that'd steal a dog will cut you. And it is getting worse the closer we get to the holidays!

Just last week, a grocer in Jackson was kidnapped at gunpoint by a thug on a bicycle as he was going to work . Then he was forced to drive the criminal to the ATM, in his own car, and get his own cash out of the machine before the thug let him go. The kidnapper kept the car. (FYI, if am approached by a gunman as I go to work one Saturday morning, y'all call CSI. I ain't going without a fight, 'cause I ain't got no money.)
