Is It Legal to shoot this bird in Mississippi while duck hunting ?

Ark or Bama?

What is it? How can you tell?

Why would you want to shoot this bird?

Ok fellas, I just got back and see that nobody seems to know (or wants to say).

The Mute swan is a NON-native bird. Brought in from europe to look pretty on Garden ponds. Many have gone wild and are VERY aggressive to native waterfowl and interfere with breading grounds.

If A big white bird has an ORANGE beak, you can (and should) shoot it!!!
Only snow geese and Mute swans are white with ORANGE beak.
(some whooping cranes have some very mild orange around their beaks, but those birds are pretty easy to distinguish.)

I am surprised that someone hasn't gotten on here that has shot or knows of a Mute being shot. They actually taste very good!
