F@#king Ford (updated)

So today I found out the 4wd on my 06 F150 isn't working. Of course, I found out the hard way. I had to put a shift motor on it last year. It made about 3 pretty good pops and no pulling on the front end. When i got home it felt like it was pullin on the gravel. Anybody got thoughts on a solution? Other than buying a Chevy. :D

Who around Starkville would be reasonable to check it out?

I would think it would be covered under warranty unless you really put some miles on it.

Warranty ran out last spring. 3 year or 36000 miles. Unless it has a longer drivetrain warranty. Would this go under the drivetrain warranty?

The truck has 41k on it

Why would I let an obama liberal mechanic work on my truck?

King, do you have a selco magazine? If not we can use mine for trouble shooting.

No extended drive train.... Just had to drop $1100 worth of differential bearings in the rear end of my '06 F-150.

Trany went out in my 02 last year and after looking at what it would cost to repair and the blue book value I traded on a Tundra and havent looked back. I will say again, screw Obama and the UAW.

Fords are notorious for this. Can you check to see if the front hubs are locking in. If they are check the drive shafts. If hubs are not locking in check the vacuum to both hubs. I tell customers in my shop that the ford manual says "Do Not engage 4wd on dry pavement"

If it's vacuum related, the HVAC tends to go to defrost when you try to activate 4wd.
