Natchez Trace

Traveled the Trace from Natchez to Clinton Sat night and counted 138 deer!! Most deer I have ever seen! No big ones, a couple of small bucks and mainly does.

That's typical. When I lived in Clinton, and hunted Port Gibson... it was crazy the number of monster bucks i saw on the Trace...

of course, that was a couple of years ago...
Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

I have been hunting the trace for years.....best federal mgt area around in my opinion!

It definatly has good shooting lanes doesn't it. I love driving the Trace, my wife can't stand it.

Years ago, we would drive it from Waynesboro, TN down into MS, in an old lincoln town car with the sun roof open, at 2am.... :oops:
