Opening morning we saw 3-4 shooting stars our blind was looking due north. Saw one around 5:45 that was pretty cool. It came straight down from the heavens and into the horizon. It had a tail like a comet. Just as quickly as I saw it, it was gone.
We've seen some cool meteor showers. Anyone else see this shooting start or anything similar? I was in the north delta.

I hunted Friday and sunday. Sunday was a bit cloudy. But Friday was clear as a whip. I also scouted wed and thurs. Saw a few then as well.

We saw several here in TN on Saturday morning. Saw the biggest/longest on that I have ever seen, was in the sky and visible for at least 15 seconds, really amazing! Sunday, was too overcast and you couldn't see a thing.

Y'all get to the blind before daylight?!
That is a good time just to relax and look and listen, huh?

Saw one like that several years ago on the way to the blind. It was so large or low or something, that you could hear it burning up. Sounded like bacon frying.

I love watching for those and have seen some pretty awesome ones over the years. Another thing I like looking for are satellites in the predawn darkness. Just as the sun is shining into space and not broken the dawn you can see their reflection. Sometimes it's pretty incredible at the stuff that's up there.
