The way that i read the bag limit is you can kill 6 ducks, 5 mergansers(only 2 hooded), and 15 coots. So a total of 26 waterfowl that you can take in a single hunt. I always thought that the merganser was included in the duck limit.

Nope Mergansers are a seperate limit as the aren't ducks, they are mergansers.

The bigger question is since there a seperate limit someone must eat them. For such an instance to occur one would have to think at one time they were eaten and eaten frequently. If so who was the warped fella who ate them? I bet Pat or Rob may be able to shed some light on this conundrum.

your kidding..........if one was going to clean them all and put them in the frezzer to eat......who would'nt want to harvest that many........why do you think people pay to go to Argentina......is 6 enough? is 12 to many? why is 26 to many? why not make the limit 1?

limits are only strong suggestions.

Who say you have to kill that many? No one. A limit is just what it says, A max number that you can kill.

Also 3 canadas, 2 brant (good luck), 2 specs, and 20 snow/blue/ross which makes is 53.
and after Christmas, add 15 dove to that.
