I know it but a set up to hunt them is $$. Thinking about going the trash bag and pillow case route with an ipod hooked up to an amp/speakers. Anyone got any better plans?

Creap em. It takes alot of dekes and some good cover to get them in on a spread, plus the scouting. Alot of time and money for something not worth eating. Case of beer and a tank of gas always works good.

Remember the CO is closed this weekend during the youth hunts.

I beg to differ. Ya'll drink the case of beer and drop the geese off at my place they are pretty good in a black iron pot and also in sausage. If anyone wants to bring some over, I'll give you some of the sausage.

Thats the best way to go but i prefer the Crown & Diet Coke in a pint mason jar. You can put a lid on it and tote it anywhere!

Snows are tough man unless you have acess to a bunch of land that they happen to be using. Scouting and finding em is the easy part. Lots of geese have been killed over rag spreads, but you better have a lot of em. We've hit em hard down in LA in a dense fog by being set up a few fields over from the main body...no decoys needed. My opinion is unless you already have all the gear, then you're better off chancing it with a guided deal up in AR or MO.

My favorite recipe is cooking the goose on a pine 2x4.

Back in '06 at the MSDucks/Willow Break Crawfish cookout, DuckAmateur brought some goose sausage and it was some fine stuff!!! I think some of the guys that go to the goose hunt up in AR, the one that is going on now, bring their goose meat to the Outfitter in Richland. I was thinking that is where this sausage was processed, but I am not certain.
