I Had the opportunity to attend the DU Sponsor Event at NHQ Friday night, Jimbo Ronquist, John Stephens and Shelby Free were there as "Entertainment" Jimbo was introduced and he gave a little talk about calling and the "World championship" contest in Stuttgart each year. He said he has heard others say they don't call to judges they call to ducks... he said the comparison would be like you taking your Sunday car down to Daytona, you aint gonna win there either!

Any way he got to the calling part and said he was going to ask for some assistance from his friends and said if you were going to do the competition hail call it would sound like this... and this small blond teenage girl stand up and wow's the crowd! Then he says next is the feed call and John Stephens lays it out there like it supposed to be done. then he finishes em'.

For The next part he asks them to join him at the front, and says this has never been attempted... they take turns and go thru a complete calling contest routine, finishing with all three of them calling together at the same time. The crowd was impressed!

Pretty cool demo. They then auctioned off a RNT call, signed by all three of them and Butch Richenback. I think it brought $700.00 or so.
