I made it 3 months once with the assistance of Chantex... I about killed a few hundred people, and that stuff makes you depressed.

congrats man.
Ive been dipping for about 14 yrs now. I stopped about 2 yrs ago for a full year cold turkey. Then I ran into some family issues and alot of stress and couldnt take it and went to the store and bought me a can and now back doing it.
This time Im telling my self every week this is the last can and I cant seem to stop for anything. Ill go 1/2 a day without one and then the urge hits me hard and cant take it

I had been chewing for around 22 years and quit cold turkey back in October. It took about a month to get over the cravings. Now it hardly crossess my mind. Ya'll can quit, it is just a habit.

that sounds like me now. The 1st time I just chewed on tooth picks when I got a craving and it worked somehow. Now I can do it for some reason that way. Im a 2 can a day guy also with Skoal and its about 8.00 a day im just throwing away really.

I agree also its a habit more then anything. Habit of having something in my lip and cant find anything to seem to take its place.

I feel your pain been a two can a day guy for 12 years. Due to the current economy I have had to downgrade from Copenhagen to Longhorn haha. Still $5 a day. My wife has told me if I quit and stay quit for 3 months she would let me buy a new boat. Thats enough incentive to push me to quit.

dipped two cans a day for several years and quit cold turkey. I told myself if i ever had bad effects I would quit, and was always scraping dead skin from my cheek and had a cavity where I held my dip so, I quit and have not looked back. 8 years now tobacco free!

I hope I never have to quit. I have been doing it for 14 years. I dip Timberwolf at a can a day, so I'm spending $2.19 a day. It might add up to a pretty good penny at the end of the year, but I would just be spending it on something else that I don't need.
