when to begin FF training?

I've got a 4 month old BLF, Mason, and was just curious as to what age most people start their dogs on force fetch.
Normally around 6-8 months, depending on the pup. Permanent teeth should be in, and your pup should have rock solid formalized obedience prior to starting. But all of this hinges on how you read the pup's maturity.
