Heard the old Yazoo Motor is gone and the Double Quick by the Mexican place got hit.

Prayers to anyone involved!! The news didnt sound good.

My granddaughter lives just east of 49 from the old yazoo motor company. They lost the roof on their brand new home but are ok!

All of the east side of Yazoo city is destroyed...Many houses are gone and there are some fatalities for sure and some stilll trapped in houses..

I believe the same tornado struck Eagle Lake first. I heard over 30 homes were destroyed.

Lost the Gin in Valley Park.

Talked to my cousin who lives there and he said it hit on the south side of town around old yazoo motor. He said the wendys got destroyed and i think a church then apparently one whole neighborhood got hit pretty hard.

*5:00 just talked to dad, on his way back from baton rouge, and near yazoo city traffic is being re-routed on hwy 3 - trees down and evacuating people from storm hit areas. he said he's gotta go back down 3, then to redwood and come up 61 to get back to isola.

just talked with a buddy of mine from ema sounds like the town got hit pretty bad TF3 is heading there now

Whew! What a day! I pulled into town bout 30 min before it hit. It went straight through the south end of town and got yazoo motors, barber shop, ribeyes, staplcoton office, wendys, double quick/churchs chicken, and completely demolished hillcrest baptist church. It went through the enchanted hills neighborhood and then headed northeast to midway. Destroyed a lot of houses at the end of niven rd at eden midway. Killed an elderly lady in midway. Supposedly 3 people dead in yazoo county. Right now in the old K-mart parking lot there are LEOs from several counties, MEMA, MDWDP, national guard, highway patrol, firefighters, electrical companies, tree cutters and LOTS of media. They're cooking for everyone in the yazoo motor parking lot. They're still bringing people out using 4wheeler. Probably 80% of cleanup was from neighbors helping neighbors. To me it looked like midway and enchanted hills got the bad end of the deal. Not sure what it looks like between yazoo and satartia. Still lots of cleanup left but it'll get fixed. They're already repairing wendys and double quick. Need lots of prayers. Going to be lots of displaced people and still some folks missing.
