This article got me to wondering. How many militias are in Ms? Are any of our board members part of an organized militia group anywhere?
If so, what is it like? Please fill in the group on what a fly on the wall might hear at one of these group meetings.

Good read thanks for the link. I've said it a million times and I'll say it again PEOPLE NEED TO PULL THEIR HEADS OUT OF THE SAND AND WAKE UP. People are so worried about what's going on in their own little world that they don't worry about what's going on around them. The militia's are just keeping an eye on things, granted there probably are a few crazies out there but I say more power to anyone willing to stand up for their rights.

yep, that's what they say on their website.


BTW, there is nothing bad about the website. It may get filtered, but there is nothing going on with the content. It just talks about standing out for people's consitutional rights.

Me too pretty much...

I schedule all of my militia training through GetDucks!!!! They know the best people all over the country. Shooting, training, homemade tattoos during the day, wonderful food at night. Ramsey can even get you places for the family so that the wives can go. So for me, there is no other miitia outfitter than GetDucks.

while doing some research while I was at the fire marshals office for a class on improvised explosive devices we hit several websites on how to build them our boss got a call the next day from the atf wanting to know what we were doing on the websites.

so like gulf said hope I am not in a new database .......

I would also guarantee you that at everyone of these tea party rallies there are folks from the fbi, atf, and any other number of agencies there taking pictures and recording everything they can about the people involved in them

I hate to break it to you folks but in the government's eyes, you are already in a right wing militia. We all meet at least three criteria.

1. We gather in a group (ducksouth.com) and discuss politics and bemoan the socialist and progressive tenancies of our government.
2. Since this is a hunting site, the government officials monitoring this site (Hey there Big Brother/Sister, How's ya momma n 'em) can assume that we are all armed, most with automatic weapons (that Browning Maximus looks SCARY)
3. The general tone of or meetings (Posts) are center to right on the political spectrum.

No doubt. I feel like anyone that has purchased a new weapon, got a firearms permit, registered to vote republican, joined the NRA, been in the military, or probably bought a hunting license has been "linked with a militia". Maybe I am paranoid, but maybe I am right.
