its funny to say , but im nervous about my hunt in the morning. i dont want it to be too cold, but cold enough. i really want the ducks to be there, and hit the decoys, because its going to be my 8 yr old sons first duck hunt. he killed his first deer last year, and that was special, but this is the duck hunt, its what we do, and i want it to be right. ive been waiting a long time for this, so here we go. yah hoo

I have some great memories of my sons early duck and dove hunts with me. Unfortunately he no longer hunts. He will always be my first choice of a companion if he decides to hunt again. I truly envy those of you who have young ones to share our great outdoors with. Hope you have great first hunts Farmdux and Birdman. INJ

well our excurssion went pretty good until he fired his gun, and it knocked him out of the chair he was standing in, so he could see out of the pit. when he started falling he grabbed tyhe edge of the blind and cut his hand, just before falling into the water in the bottom of the pit. then we saw a ton of pintails. and that is all we saw, go figure. his hand was hurting, and he was getting a little cold so we decided to leave. i picked up the decoys and came back and picked him up, and we went to the truck. when we were getting in the truck he said,"dad, thank you for taking me hunting with you, it was fun." that made it the best duck hunt i ever had, ducks or no ducks

What a day Farmdux! Kids are truly a blessing! Next time get out of the blind, hide out in the Milo and make sure his feet are planted!

Who cares if you kill 'em, eh? I bet he will love telling his pals about the trip!

Hey, it doesn't take a lot to satisfy them little boogers. Let em dress up and have a good time when you go hunting and they will want to go back.
Just watch Delta Duck if you take em hunting around him. He tried to tell mine how to pick up those "black cats with the white stripes" by the tail.
