How about everyone pitch in now and tell this person as well as the other lurkers on here where he can go kill ducks, instead of letting him scout it out like he should to find out himself. Please go ahead and tell half of South Carolina where to hunt when they get here. Just make sure it is where you hunt instead of my spots.

Dude, WMA's are free, although as with any "public" duck spots you'll have to put up with other peoples B.S. and sometimes it just aint worth it.
I recommend scouting the ones closest to your area and see what other people are doing and where.
If you still need ideas on a light boat I looked up "inflatable raft" on ebay and i'm thinking of buying one just for your type of situation. Some accept a trolling moter. Only draw back I could think of would be Ice.
Havnt seen any of that in a while however.
Good luck and "keep it twanst the ditches"

Thank you very much Ducksbeus! I apperciate you standing up for me there.
Jimbo thanks for the advice good to see people like you helping the little fellas like me. I was just curious about a place to hunt because i dont think there is one like right in my area, and would need a mentor or someone to help me start since i know NOTHING about calling or decoys. Thank you for your time.

Yeah Duckdude.. you seem to be really gettin into this duck hunting. No finer thing to do 'specially with the right people and some good equipment. Call 1800warmest and ask for the public hunting info.. Miss. is covered up with public areas as well as public area hunters. Ask around and find some duck hunters in your area and try to get hooked up that way. In my opinion duck hunters are the cream of the crop as far as outdoorsmen go and keep hard earned info about honey holes pretty quiet. The good stuff aint easy to find but finding it is part of the fun. Best of luck. INJ

Dude, sounds like you go hunting more than me and maybe I should be asking you for advice. Curious as to what one does with a crow. Last time I heard of crow hunting was on Andy Griffith (in wich Andy was out shot by a girl and got his feelings hurt) I also was impressed by your home made portable blind. When I was your age I too had the hunting bug BAD. Now that im 25 years older and 100 pounds hevier my body has a hard time keeping up with me, expecially after chasing them stinking deer!
Also, I would recommend buying a dozen cheap mallard decoys as one of your first purchases and practice calling before heading to the local marsh. My son is six and I cant wait till he gets a little older as that was some of my fathers and I's best times togather. You are on the right track, just keep pushin' on.
Have a nice day!

Im glad you like my blind idea i might take a pic if anyone doesn't know what i was talking about.
Some people eat crows!
i don't but when i kill one i leave him for a decoy until i leave then i leave him there for a coyote or fox. but i really don't hunt them too often, they got used to my poor calling i think and wont come in.lol I wanna make sure im gonna really strat hunting b4 i make any purchases over maybe $10 lol i would really like to go huntinh with someone b4 i buy any thing also. I like to classifi that hunting bug as a tick that is already inbedded the skin.lol(wierd i know) I hope your boy gets to make as many or even more fatherson hunting memories as i have. Do you let him go hunting any with now?

Eat a crow-man Id have to be starving-Like the guy that ate that raw oyster for the first time
Im still teaching my boy how to shoot and the momma didnt think he was old enough until I posted a question as such. He will go next year for sure. We recently moved here from the coast so he is more of a fisherman, but, he asks if he can go every time I load up. Next year will be here soon!
