Just to strike up some new hound chatter, what are yall's thoughts on the unbeatable Lyle Steinman. Also whats your overall opinion on the first two shows. Watching the amatuer run a perfect run was definately a highlight for me. I think there is going to have to be some serious changes with the handlers if they want to start beating Steinman. They need Nick Saban recruiting for the guys...lol..

I enjoyed watching the dogs run in the river current, something most of us dont see down here; definetly add a new dimension on training!!

I dont know lyle, but I can be proud of him and his accomplishments. I do think some of the 'commentary' about some of the other contestants is TOTALLY unnessarry. Its easy to build up lyle, without tearing down other contestants... contestants that put that event on tv, made srs a national tv show, and lots of folks made lots of cheese off of. JT is a friend of mine, but I have been very disapointed in some of the comments he's made about other competetiors (who happen to be friends of mine as well!) i felt where in poor taste. Nothing wrong with cheering for the champ, but gotta remember the other folks there are for the most part all wonderful people and discouraging comments about them serves no purpose whatsoever. travis

my biggest thing with the SRS is that Tackett, on television, said that the judges are sometimes biased. During an episode he said that Akin got the nod but didn't really beat the other guy and then Tackett attributed it to Judge's bias. That is a bold thing to say on television, that the game is rigged....sure it happens in all venues but should it? No! And just cause it does, it should not be permissable and permissable by the founder, no less, to declare it as fact? I thought it was crazy!

Scott Greer said same thing about a loss he had sometime ago....it is on the SRS site somehwere....I read it not too long ago.....that he was given the "home cooking" business by some judges and wierd thing is he was ok with it.

I don't say these things because I "heard" them....They were broadcast on TV and are quoted from their website otherwise i would not bring it up.

Just got through watching the huntsville semi and man this setup and test is going to be hard to beat... There were some of the nicest dogs I've seen yet , was super impressed with Dozer that Chris Jobman was running.. Also like that the test was based eighty percent on marking abilities ... Man I love this show

Mr. Steinman ran the Open, Qual, and Derby at the Fort Collins FT this past weekend. He didn't have much luck in the Open, but he got 3 ribbons in the Q. Look out whitecoats!
